Barbara Ellen Simmons

Barbara Ellen Simmons, 73, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Four Winds Community. She was born in Wellston on August 28, 1950, to the late Harold Dunn and Helyn Campbell Dunn. She graduated high school in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoyed taking care of her family, bowling, working puzzles, playing cards, taking daily rides around Lake Alma with her husband, and Diet Coke with a lot of ice. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Simmons, on December 29, 2020,and by her sister, Martha Dunn. Surviving are her son, Bryan Simmons, of Wellston; her daughter, Kimberly Simmons Jenkins ( Ryan ) of Pickerington, Ohio; four grandchildren : Jordyn Simmons, Zachary Jenkins, Andrew Jenkins, and Kylie Simmons; niece, nephew, and cousins. Per Barb's wishes, a private family gathering and farewell will be Saturday, February 17th at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston with prayers to follow by John Pelletier CLP.
