Following a brave battle with cancer since June 18 of this year, Brian Scott Lewis passed away at Holzer Medical Center- Gallipolis on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, just one day before he would have turned 54. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, July 22, 1972, to the late John W. Lewis and June Ann Blevins Lewis. He was a graduate of Wellston High School and became a construction worker for many years in Tennessee. He had most recently been employed by Bellisio Foods of Jackson as a forklift truck operator. He spent his free time helping out around the homes of his neighbors and close friends, Tim and Cathy Lewis, and his sister, " Becky ." He spent hours 'tinkering " around the house, fishing, playing darts with his pals, and watching the races of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Since his illness, his neighbor and good friend, Maurice Napper, had been visiting and praying with him. Brian is survived by two step sons, Dillan Mota ( Hannah ) of Wellston and Zack Holsinger ( Breanna Casto ) of Oak Hill; Three brothers : John Lewis Jr. of Wellston, Jeremy Lewis of Florida, and Ronald Eugene Gibbens Lewis ( Erica ) of Buffalo, Wyoming; two sisters, Tammy " Becky " Stewart ( Jim Hoyt ) and Bobbie Jo Royster ( Randy ) of Wellston; three step grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his boxer dog, Spuds. Brian's cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston. Inurnment will be at a later date.
