Carolyn Sue Kendrick Smith

Carolyn Sue Kendrick Smith, 73, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family, on February 11, 2026, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on August 2, 1952, in McArthur, Ohio to the late Ira Frank Kendrick and Martha A. Mullins Kendrick, who raised a family of eleven children. She was a 1971 graduate of McArthur High School and retired as an agent with Andrews Insurance of Columbus, Ohio. In her free time, She enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her fiance, Jerry Aspell, of Columbus; her son, Doug ( Wendy Gibson ) Johnson of Jackson, Ohio; her daughter, Marcy ( Ray ) Martinez, of Williamsport, Ohio; her sister, Joyce Remy, of McArthur, Ohio; nine grandchildren : Phylicia Albaugh, Ayron Robson, Troy Sullivan, Stanley Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Hayley Johnson, Jessica Murphy, and Courtney Pineda; and several great grandchildren. The family has requested that funeral serviices for Carolyn be held at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston, Ohio , next Saturday , February 21, 2026, at 1 P.M. Family and friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 21, from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1 P.M.
