Charles A. Dixon

January 6, 1951 — December 16, 2024

Wellston, Ohio

Charles A. Dixon, 73, went peacefully home with the Lord on Monday evening, December 16, 2024, at his residence in Washington Township near Wellston, Ohio. He had been in failing health. He was born in Jackson County, Ohio, on January 6, 1951 to the late Charles Thurman Dixon and Hazel Emily Patton Dixon. Following his graduation from Wellston High School, he began his career as a brick maker for the A.P. Green Plant of Jackson Ohio until it's closing in 2018. Following his retirement, and being the car fanatic that he was, he spent his days repairing and restoring all kinds of vehicles. He owned at least two cars or trucks at any time. He loved watching the TV show " Counting Cars " and reruns of the old "Price is Right " where he could name every car that was given away and how much the car was worth today. He had attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Curtis Dixon and Bruce Alvin Dixon; a sister-in-law, Peggy Sue Dixon; and a niece, Amy Michelle Wyant. He is survived by his two loving sisters, Emelie Paul of Coalton and Cindy Music of Reynoldsburg; a brother, Kenny Eby ( Robin ) of Wellston; and by nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Charles will be held at 12 P.M., Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Savageville Church, St. Rt. 35, Ray. Officiating clergy will be Pastor Jorge Anido and Pastor Ray Dunlap. Cremation arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston. Online condolences may be made at www.samjenkinsfuneralchapel.com
