Such an inspirational story is the life of a little girl who was moved from foster home to foster home until someone there in Steubenville, Ohio encouraged her education and helped make it possible for her to attend college and finally receive a Bachelor's degree. She became a " People Person " during her life, working as a lead supervisor, roof bolter, mason ,and driver at Emery Mining in Orangeville, Utah, as well as being the UMW local secretary. Returning to northern Ohio, she collaborated with the late Governor James Rhodes in the development of job placements for out of work coal miners. She helped in the job placement for senior citizens and to improve the quality of their lives through The Corporation for Appalachian Development ( COAD ) in 12 Ohio counties. She ended her career as the Human Resource Manager at Bellisio Foods in Jackson. After helping so many and loving every minute, she bravely battled cancer for the past two years. she went home with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Holzer Medical Center- Jackson. Her family was amazed that she raised her hands and praised God on her deathbed. She was a member of Glen Roy Community Church but had not been able to attend. Pastor David Monroe and Dusty Lynn Monroe kept her in their hearts. If well, you could have found her tending her beautiful flowers at home in Glen Roy, probably with her 4 year old dog, Lola, by her side. Donna Faye Rife was born in Weirton, West Virginia on June 26, 1952. She would have turned 73 on June 26. She is survived by her husband of almost 28 years, Dallas E. Rife; her son, Harold E. R. Dodds of Arizona; her sister, Yvonne Davis of Castle Dale, Utah; a special cousin, Diana Woods of Steubenville; close sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in 2015 by her daughter, Heather Dawn Dodds and a sister, Barb J. Smith. Cremation arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston.
