Eva Joanne Reynolds Chapman

Eva Joanne Reynolds Chapman, age 94, of Wilkesville, Ohio, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Jenkins Care Community of Wellston, Ohio. She was born on November 29, 1931, in New Castle, Virginia to the late Clarence D. Reynolds and Maude M. Caldwell Reynolds. Joanne was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Wendell E. Chapman, who passed away on September 5, 2024. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Reynolds Cribben, of Jackson, Ohio, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was also predeceased by brothers : Paschal, Elliott, Wesley, Max, and Jim Reynolds, and by sisters : Jean Reynolds Hammond and Eloise Reynolds Parks. Joanne was employed by City Loan for 20 years and by Unity Savings Bank and Action Finance Company for 22 years until her retirement in 1999. Joanne was   a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wellston and was a graduate of Jackson High School, Jackson, Ohio, in the Class of 1950. Family and friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston, Ohio, on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 2 until 4 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, at 1 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wellston with John Pelletier CLP officiating. Burial will follow at the Vinton Memorial Park in  Vinton, Ohio. Services are under the direction of the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston.
