Gerald Hughes

Gerald Hughes, 64, of Wellston, Ohio, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Edgewood Manor of Wellston. He was born March 7, 1961 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Edward Harwood Hughes and Loraine Maude Roberts Hughes.  A proud 1979 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, Gerald was a devout Christian and a steadfast, lifelong Republican. He began his woking life at the age of 16 at the Wheelersburg Cinema and later established a successful career in finance. Gerald had a deep appreciation for American muscle cars, a passion for reading, a love of cinema, and keeping up with the news - especially Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan! In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Angela Sue Hughes and Linnie ( Hughes ) Cattell, and his cherished son, Jeremy Hughes. Left to honor his memory are his two children, daughter Kristin Hughes-Thompson and son Andrew Rhodes, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
