Helen Davis Cartwright, 101 and a former resident of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in North Port, Florida.
She was born in Wellston in 1913, daughter of the late William and Laura Davis. She wed her husband of 62 years, Edward Cartwright ( 1908-1996 ) in 1934. Following his retirement, they moved to Stuart, Florida. Helen has resided in the Venice area since 2013 .She is survived by two sons and their wifes, William and Patricia Cartwright of Venice, Florida, and Richard and Cheryl Cartwright of Gahanna, Ohio; five grandsons, David ( Donna) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Scott (Wendy) of Tampa, Florida, Craig of Venice, California, Nathan of Los Angeles,California, and Mark of Dallas, Texas; and five great grandchildren. The family invites friends to call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Saturday, June 20, from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. A graveside memorial service will follow at 2:15 P.M. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with John Pelletier CLP officiating.
