James R. Snider
James R. Snider, 85, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, July 17, 2015, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston. He was born in Wellston on February 9, 1930, to the late Clarence and Mildred Pierpont Snider.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a logger/ yarding engineer in Oregon before returning to Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cora Rowland Kuhn Snider; five sons, Tim of New Albany, Ohio, Terry of Wellston, James Jr., Roger, and William all of Oregon; a daughter, Brenda Coleman of Oregon; a brother, Jerry Snider, of Grant’s Pass, Oregon; and a sister, Jane Massie, of Springfield, Ohio.
James requested that cremation follow his death. There will be a private family interment in Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston at a later date. Arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel.
