Margie E Hayburn

Margie E. Hayburn, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday June 28, 2025, at Adena Medical Center- Chillicothe. She was born in Byer, Ohio on December 8, 1934 to the late Gerald L. Douglas and Helen M. Miller Douglas. She was a graduate of Wellston High School and married Ronald E. "Butch" Hayburn who passed away May 30, 1996. She and Ronald raised their three children at their beautiful home in Byer, and Margie remained a homemaker her entire life. In her free time she enjoyed camping with her friends. You could always find her helping at the Southern Ohio Monument Company booths at the Jackson Apple Festival and the Jackson and Ross County Fairs. She loved meeting and talking with everyone and never met a stranger. She was honored this past December with a big 90th birthday party at the Nazarene Church in Jackson. She was very proud of her family and leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl " Sherry" Hayburn of Chillicothe; her sons, Doug ( Marilyn Shaw ) Hayburn of Chillicothe and Ronnie ( Jennifer ) Hayburn of Londonderry; grandchildren Brianna Hayburn, Cooper Hayburn, Grace Throne, and Liza Throne; special friend, Brenda White of Kingston; and sister Cathy Deck of Delaware, Ohio. Friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Friday from 2 to 8 P.M. to pay their final respects. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 P.M. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor James McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery.
