Mary Louise Caudill Bentley, 88, of McArthur, Ohio, left for her heavenly home while surrounded by her family on January 2, 2026, at The Pavilion at Piketon in Piketon, Ohio. She was born October 28, 1937, in Lakey, Knott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Virgil and Dellie Johnson Caudill. She proudly carried her Kentucky roots throughout her life. She married Thomas " TJ" Bentley, who passed away in 2021, on December 15, 1956 in McArthur. Together she shared 65 years of marriage with him, building a home rooted in love, faith, and family. Mary was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant and later retired as a custodian from McAthur Hopewell Clinic. Her life was marked by quiet strength, hard work, and a deep love for her family. She loved quilting with her family and friends. She also loved to crochet, creating pieces that became treasured keepsakes and lasting memories. She was a wonderful cook and found great joy in preparing meals for her family, gathering them around the table with love. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her savior, and through prayer, love, and humble service, she reflected His love to all who knew her. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant son, Tony Randall Bentley; her brothers : Coshel, Arvin, Denver, Afton, and Jimmie Paul Caudill; sisters-in-law: Florence Caudill, Laura Bell Caudill, Debbie Caudill, and Sharon Caudill; her sister, Junie Caudill Oney; brother-in-law, Charles Rowland; and her beloved son-in-law, Terry Huff. She will be greatly missed by all including her three sons : Virgil Wayne ( Tammy ) Bentley of Gallipolis, Bryan Keith ( Cindy ) Bentley of McArthur, and Shane Thomas ( Ebony ) Bentley of Gallipolis; her two daughters, Judy ( Jeff ) Huff-Harper and Rhonda Lynn ( Tim) Lambert, both of McArthur; grandchildren : Brandon ( Amber) Bentley, Zach Bentley, Timothy " TJ " ( Thelma) Lambert Jr., Kelly Lambert, Aaron ( Stephanie ) Lambert, Michael Huff, Nathan ( Kara ) Huff, Jeffery ( Angie ) Harper Jr., Jerrod ( Ashley ) Harper, Judy ( Jason ) Johnson, Tyler ( Hannah ) Bentley, Mallory Bentley, Elijah Bentley, Jordyn Bentley, Adalyn Bentley, Jada, and Londyn ; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Ella Rowland, Ruby ( David ) Booth, and Elberta " Bert " (Wayne ) Stewart; her brothers: Dee ( Chris ) Caudill , Corbert ( Elizabeth) Caudill, Robert " Bo " ( Sheila ) Caudill, and Harold ( Avonda ) Caudill; brother-in-law, Donald Oney; sister-in-law, Myrta Caudill; and many nieces , nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly. Family and friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston, Ohio, on Tuesday from 5 until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 P.M. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest in Elk Cemetery in McArthur. Pallbearers will be TJ Lambert, Brandon Bentley, Aaron Lambert, Elijah Bentley, Jacob Scarberry, Zach Bentley, Joseph Lambert, and Hunter Lambert.
