Mary Louise Christian

Mary Louise Christian, age 90. of Wellston, Ohio, passed peacefully away on Wednesday morning, April 15, 2026, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston, where she had resided since 2024. She was born in Wellston on Saturday, July 13, 1935, to the late Joseph Calvin Mulhern and Beatrice Delores McNellis Mulhern. Mary spent her entire life in Wellston as a dedicated homemaker. Her specialty was baking and decorating her beautiful cakes. Every year she baked a birthday cake for each of her nieces and nephews and baked old fashioned Santa cookies for them at Christmastime. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don Mulhern and William Wayne Mulhern, and infant twin siblings James and Joan Katherine. Her favorite cat, Tiger, also passed away several years ago. She is survived by her brother, Gene Mulhern ( Minnie Salmons ) of Wellston; her sister, Rosie Nichols of Wellston; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and all her friends at Edgewood Manor. Family and friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of services at 1 P.M., officiated by John Pelletier CLP.
