Sharon L. Rice Caudill, 77, of Hamden, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, August 28, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born in Petrea, Ohio, September 26, 1939, to the late Charles F. Rice, Sr. and Helen Loudermilk Rice. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lakeview Baptist Chapel in Hamden. She was an avid reader and a member of the fan club for Dwight Icenhower E.T. A. She had a great love for her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Caudill, in 2009; her daughter, Kandy S. Coleman, in 2014; her grandson, Afton Wayne Scarberry , in 1978; four brothers: Paul "Ed" Rice, James Rice, Larry Rice, and Charles "Bugs" Rice, Jr.; and a sister, Sondra Will. She is survived by four sons: Russ (Rhonda) Caudill, Charlie ( Kathy) Caudill, and Aaron ( Jamie) Caudill, all of Hamden, and Larry (Lisa) Caudill of McArthur; four daughters: Cindy ( Jerry) Scarberry of McArthur, Shari ( Steve) Bobb and Mary Beth ( Frank) Guthrie, both of Hamden, and Alice ( Kevin) Douglas of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a sister, Cheryl Rice Gallagher ( Tom ) of Jackson, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 until 8 P.M. at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston. Services will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Lamar O'Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery, McArthur, Ohio.
